InterCompany Processing for Microsoft Dynamics NAV Business Essentials
When we first signed up with Navision back in 2000, we were surprised to find that there wasn’t an intercompany processing module. Our previous product offered that capability and it was a necessary part of the solution for many multi-company and multi-location organizations. So we decided to write our own InterCompany Processing for Microsoft Dynamics NAV and offer it through the reseller channel. Subsequent to the purchase of Navision by Microsoft, an intercompany module was added to Dynamics NAV but is only available on the Advanced Version of the BRL license. Our intercompany module is available on both Business Essentials and Advanced Management and offers one key function not available with the Dynamics NAV version. Invoices in either accounts payable or accounts receivable can be distributed across multiple companies from a single invoice entry screen. As well, we have built an intercompany capability into cash management for a client and this could be extended to other installations, if required.
