How does your accounting or ERP system measure up to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central?

Does your ERP system measure up? Reach new heights with Business Central

Every organization today needs to have an accounting or ERP system in place, regardless of size. Unfortunately, buying a system has not been a one-time purchase. Changes in your business, customer expectations, or technology meant you were constantly on a treadmill of upgrading your system to a new version or even changing to a more capable system. To top all of that off, changes in technology mean few organizations are excited about maintaining computer servers and paying expensive IT staff.

Software as a Service (SaaS) options mean you never have to go through another painful upgrade

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central may not be a familiar name but it is actually the new name for the most popular mid-market ERP system in the entire world – Microsoft Dynamics NAV, or Navision as it was known before the name change. Microsoft has enhanced the system to the point where it can be deployed in an online Software as a Service (SaaS) mode or as an in-house system. Your choice. If you go SaaS, you will receive free or near-free automatic upgrades twice per year, even if you have customized the system. If you have the in-house version, you can schedule the updates on your own schedule but, again, with little cost or effort.

Download Apps or customize without blowing up your database or bloating upgrade costs

One of the quandaries of customizing a database was often you couldn’t upgrade your system or it would cost you significantly more. At times upgrades could actually cost more than the original implementation. Microsoft’s new three code layers in Business Central mean SaaS upgrades can happen automatically in just a few seconds or minutes, twice per year, with apps and customizations typically carried forward without any effort. Each of the three layers are reserved for the three development partners, Microsoft, app developers, and developers performing customizations, without conflicts.

Never change systems again, start with a one user system and grow to hundreds

The capability of a SaaS system, scaled up by a Microsoft Azure cloud on the backup, means you have the ability to run a single user system or larger corporations can operate with hundreds of users. If you grow and your requirements change, you don’t have to worry about outgrowing the system. The capability of the software includes full modules for advanced financials, distribution, jobs, manufacturing, advanced warehousing, service, and HR. Add apps from Microsoft’s Appsource to extend your system or create specific customizations for your requirements. Again, all without impacting your upgrade process or budget.  The only exception might be a total platform revision by Microsoft but presently they are committed to incremental change and growth.

Express or Enterprise implementation choices

The size or complexity of your organization can be matched to an Express, quick, relatively inexpensive, implementation. Or choose an Enterprise implementation option to maximize your competitive advantage or processing efficiencies.

Free and automatic upgrades, scalability, unlimited flexibility, cloud or in-house, Express or Enterprise

Does your current system give you this kind of capability? It took a number of years but Microsoft has got it right in the accounting and ERP space. Choose Dynamics 365 Business Central and you will never have to make another decision about system change again.

Let’s talk about how to apply these advantages to your ERP business today. We’ll guide you through every step.
