QA Testing Specialist

The QA Testing Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of our Microsoft Dynamics Business Central implementations. 

As an ERP QA Testing Specialist, you will learn & leverage quality assurance methodologies to develop and execute comprehensive test cases. You will be conducting user acceptance testing (UAT), performance and stress testing, scalability testing, ERP load testing, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed and comprehensive test plans and test cases specifically designed for Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
• Provide detailed feedback on defects, including steps to reproduce and impact analysis.
• Document each test case thoroughly in the system, utilizing other software to record testing situations and simulations. 
• Break down functional specifications into actionable test scenarios to ensure all aspects of the system are thoroughly tested.
• Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to clarify requirements and expectations, as well as facilitating
  workshops or meetings to gather insights and feedback on testing priorities.
• Conduct testing of core modules such as finance, sales, inventory, and project management within Microsoft Business Central. 
• Conduct performance testing to assess how well the ERP system responds under various load conditions.
• Perform stress testing, load testing, and scalability testing to ensure the system can handle peak usage times without degradation in performance.
• Analyze performance metrics, and work with the development team to optimize system performance based on findings.
• Facilitate UAT sessions with end-users to validate that the system meets their needs and expectations.
  Collects feedback, document any issues raised during UAT, and ensures that necessary adjustments are made before the final deployment.
• Performs root cause analysis on defects to determine underlying issues that may lead to repeated failures. 
• Use dashboards and visual aids to communicate results effectively, ensuring that stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the testing process.
• Stay updated on the latest features and functionalities of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, as well as industry best practices in quality assurance and testing methodologies.
• Pursue relevant certifications and training to enhance their expertise and bring new knowledge to the team.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the QA team and broader organization. Propose and implement enhancements to testing methodologies, tools, and practices that increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Core Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in software quality assurance manual testing 
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team setting.
• Effective communication skills - in writing and verbally 
• Critical problem-solving abilities

Nice to have experience:

• Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar ERP systems testing experience
• SQL experience 
• Understanding of API testing and integration testing with third-party applications.
